Door and Window Trim

If you look closely you can see the trim around the doors. This is the trim that Chad made from the trees that we cut down from the lot when we first bought it...so long ago. We milled it, had it dried and now it's our trim. This trim has been Chad's baby.

This is a view into our living room from the kitchen. Notice the trim again. I think it's pretty cool. How many people can say that the trim in their house is from the trees on their land?
It will be a cool topic for our many dinner parties and formal gatherings...=) yeah right.

Seawolves Game

Chad's cousin Shane from Alaska was able to get us all tickets to his last game here in MN a few Friday's ago. We took the girls and we had a blast. I always feel like a bit of a trader cheering against the Gophers, but family is more important.
Some of the cousins-Cole's girlfriend, Cole, shane, Brittney, Ava and Lydia

Shane cleans up really nice.
Chad and Ava enjoying the game. I think Chad was a little distracted by the cheerleaders that were right next to us for a while.

The girls love to go to hockey games.

The End is in Sight!

This is another view out our bedroom window. I know I've put this on before, but I'm just so darn excited.

Chad's dad has been installing the carpet. This is a view from the front entry looking into the office. The office just needs to be vacuumed and it's done! It's really kind of cool at this stage of the game. I keep asking Chad, "So does that mean that room is finished?" The two upstairs bathrooms need to be cleaned and they're finished as well. Same goes for the kitchen. Roger is over at the house today finishing the carpet upstairs. Chad is at the house today as well. The security system will be up and running this morning and we have our FINAL INSPECTION this morning as well. We hope to have our certificate of occupancy this morning...cross your fingers.

Here's a shot of the kitchen with the dishwasher in. My dad has already run it twice and all works well. Thanks dad!

Chad and I picked out some cool lights for the kitchen. These are over the island. Cheap enough to replace when we're looking for a change. I suggested seasonal lights...I'm not sure why that was funny, but apparently it was.

Another view in the kitchen from the dining room. The fridge is huge and I finally got my oven. Tater tots and corn dogs will be cooked to perfection. =)

More Final Inspections Done!!!!!

Yesterday we passed the final inspections for plumbing, heating and the gas piping. The only one left is the final building inspection.

Our appliances showed up on Wednesday and I have all but the dishwasher installed. Hopefully next week I can get the final building inspection done.
