Lydia's School Concert

Lydia was all smiles the night of her concert. She was showing us all her desk. It is surprisingly organized and clean!
Lydia is the bottom right. It was REALLY hard to see her, but the concert was really good.

Just Hanging Out

Lydia, Ava and Lydia's friend Perri are eating dinner before their school concert. They are being their normal silly selves.
Lydia and Ava eating breakfast at the kitchen island.
Ava is just so sweet!
Chad, Lydia, and Ava invented a new game one night. It involved pieces of trim and super balls. Not a game for the kitchen counter said mom, but who listens to mom?

We've been having a lot of fun hanging out in our new surroundings. We are still trying to figure out where to put things and getting rid of stuff we don't need. The first week, Chad left for work and I didn't know the alarm was set. I told Lydia it was off and when she got into the kitchen the alarm went off. That gets people moving! Ariel has a whole new view and things to bark at.
The girls have been pretty busy just playing in all the new rooms. They also have kids to play with across the street. The little girl is in Lydia's class and so far all four play very well together. After school they go outside and just play! Last weekend it was really nice outside and the neighbors were walking by and checking out the new neighbors. They all seem pretty nice and excited that we're finally in. Lots of compliments on the house.

Chad (and Rachel's) New TV and Some Much Needed Rest

Ariel is taking a much needed rest after our big move.
Ava also crashed. She slept for a long time in this spot.
Chad is unpacking the new tv. I tried to get this picture first, but must be a novice blogger still.
Chad was having a lot of fun putting this together.

I have to admit, it did seem logical to get a new tv to hang on the wall instead of hauling in our old giant tv that would take up a lot of space. Not to mention the tv stand was falling apart and we'd have to hook up our digital converter box...we came up with a lot of reasons to buy this thing. So far it's been totaly worth it.

Moving Day!

Ava and her cousin Alex share some books on the couch in the living room as they take a break from the hard work of moving.
The living room is filling up with stuff. Notice there is no television in the room. For some reason the tv never came in from the garage. I think there was a plan already in place for the space on the wall. Chad said there was not a plan, but doesn't the tv usually come in the house?
Lydia got right to work organizing the things in her room. She loves her new room and is continually changing her plans for how she wants it organized.
Ariel really seemed to like the house and also new something was up. She's standing guard over the stuff in the dining room probably wondering the same thing as the rest of us, where is all this stuff going to go?
Chad and I stayed up really late getting the kitchen put away that night. If the kitchen is organized it doesn't feel so bad. It felt so good to sit in the living room that night after all of our faithful helpers left and just sit for a while. Even though our house was a complete disaster and I couldn't even find my toothbrush, things just felt a lot less stressful. Thanks to all who gave up their Saturday to help us move!
