Second floor just about there

Looking at the above picture (second floor), the window in front on the left is a bedroom then to the right is a bathroom. The last two on the left are another bedroom.

We got the second floor outside walls up except for the garage wall since we don't have the staircase built yet.

This is a view from the living room on the first floor. On the right with the big window is the dining room. Behind the dining room wall will be a bathroom and a place for the girls to hang their coats and stuff. To the left in front of the wall will be the kitchen. Behind the wall will be a storage area for an upright freezer and a pantry.

This is looking from the kitchen. To the right is the living room. To the left of the post is the staircase going upstairs.

Here your are seeing where the staircase will be going upstairs. To the left will be closet and office. Obviously to the left of that is the front door.

This weekend is going to be hectic since they are predicting 6" - 12" of snow. We'll see how accurate they are.

Finally out of the Basement

Now that the floor on the main floor is decked we were able to get the walls up. We did this on the 10th and the 11th.
Luckily we had the help because we built the walls on the ground then put the sheeting and Tyvek on and lifted them into place. Now I don't have to get on a ladder to put the sheeting on.

View of the back from the lake. Remember we still have on more floor to go.

This weekend (17th and 18th) we got the main beam on the main floor up and all the floor joists. Next step, putting the floor sheeting down. Hopefully we will have the walls up after Thanksgiving.

One more step

One more step was completed by getting the decking on the first floor. Now it's time to lay out the walls and waterproof the prestressed concrete so we can pour the top coat.

Progress!

I got a call on the 5th informing me that Molin had me on their schedule to install my garage floor and front porch. So I decided to take the day off and watch.

It ended up being a very nice and productive day. Doug, Dad and I were able to finish getting the rim joist up for the stairs, set the floor trusses and got about half of the floor sheeted. We are well on our way to getting walls up this afternoon.
