Then on Sunday Doug and I spent the day putting up the hip trusses of the garage side of the roof, finishing up some corners and figuring out how to get the valleys framed in. In the next day or so we should be getting the overhang framed above the bedroom(left side on the pic below) and getting the eves trimmed back so we can set the 2 X 6. and who knows we may even get some of the plywood up!

Roof is coming along
Well we spent all of Saturday putting up the roof trusses. We had 5 of us there getting the trusses up. It was a little tricky because we had to lift the trusses up to the second floor then get them up on the walls.

If only the weather would cooperate
During the week last week there were quite a bit of walls going up on the first floor. Above you can see the entry closet and the study wall along the staircase.
I was able to finish up the pantry walls this week. Next set of walls to go up will be the bathroom and the other wall along the staircase.
Here is the wood that is left for the garage, the sheeting for the roof, and the remaining roof trusses to be put up. We are going to see if a few people are able to get the trusses upstairs but if cannot we'll get the marks on the top plate and hire a crane to come out and lift the few we can't do by hand.
