The day of the pour...

Here is Doug and Jeremy doing some last minute securing, marking and popping pipes through the walls for power.

We ended up with a very nice day. It was warm enough that we didn't need sweatshirts on but we didn't hae sweat dripping down us. There were about a ten of us there working our butts off. So thanks to Doug, Roger, Jim, Dan, Jeremy, Rich and Ed for helping.

Below is Dan and Rich going to fix a wall before we get anymore blowouts.

Ed is making sure that I had all the tie wires nice and tight so our T-walls wouldn't seperate during the pour.

I'm showing Jeremy what to look for while pumping the concrete into the walls.
Dan is securing the corner with tie wire through the 2 X 6 corners so hopefully we don't have any seperations. He must have done alright because that corner held!!

Jim is feeling how far up the wall the concrete is. We were trying to go 3 feet at a time so we wouldn't have too much weight in one spot.

Break time waiting for the concrete trucks to switch spots.
The end at last. The next couple pictures are us finishing the top of the walls.

And the final product!!!! Free standing walls. the picture below you can see that there are steel studs sticking out in the garage area. These will be used once the prestressed planks are set. I will screw 2 inch foam and half inch OSB to them to create a wall so the topping on the prestressed doesn't flow down the side of the wall and it acts as a fake rim joist that way we will have something to secure the siding to.

The pour itself went from noon to 4 o'clock and took 66 yards of concrete. It may have took about a month to get to this part but I am glad I did it this way and not normal cement blocks!
