Bassement floors are now poured!

On Saturday we were able to get our floor poured. Normally we would have framed the house first but if we did that there wouldn't have been an easy way to pour the floor. This way we were able to get the pump truck out one last time.

I worked Wednesday and Thursday night getting the tubing in for the in-floor heat installed and on Thursday we had an inspection of the floor, roughed in plumbing in the basement and the waterproofing on the foundation. Unfortunately the waterproofing did not get signed off on because the inspector was not familiar with the product. Since then I have been able to talk to the inspectors and get everything straightened out so Perry Excavating will be out on Thursday and possibly Friday.

Halloween is a big day for the Hansen's! Not only are the girls excited to go out trick-or-treating but we get our first load of wood delivered. We should be receiving the wood for the basement, the first floor joists and the first floor framing. Now our progress should go fast (hopefully).

That's all for now next time I should have pictures of the backfilling and the load of wood.
